e-Shuttle and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Collaborate to Provide Silicon Shuttle Services for Asian Start-ups

Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), and Fujitsu Microelectronics Limited’s (FML) subsidiary e-Shuttle Inc. (ESI) in Japan have signed an agreement to provide silicon shuttle services for start-up integrated circuit (IC) design houses in Asia.

The initiative, boosting Asia’s semiconductor industry, provides first-of-a-kind Electron Beam Direct Writing (EBDW) technology at low cost. The proprietary EBDW technology developed by e-Shuttle significantly lowers the cost of prototyping ICs and reduces turnaround time.

Hong Kong Science Park Hosts Live Beijing Olympics For Public On Giant High-Definition Screens

Hong Kong Science Park is hosting live coverage of the Beijing Olympics for the general public on giant high-definition screens daily.

The ‘Beijing 2008 Olympic Games - HD Live Broadcast @ Science Park’ initiative is free of charge up until the games close on August 24.

Live broadcasting is being screened at three air-conditioned, indoor locations at Hong Kong Science Park, located beside Tolo Harbour on the outskirts of Sha Tin – close to University MTR Station.

The first Young Scientist Summer Camp, co-organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups will be held at Hong Kong Science Park on 17 to 19 July, 2008.

A hundred of Primary 4 to 6 students will take part in seminars, technological and mechanical design workshops and scientific experiments during the period. With the use of micro-computers and art materials, students will design a resort model with a theme of technology and environmental protection.
