The first Young Scientist Summer Camp, co-organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups will be held at Hong Kong Science Park on 17 to 19 July, 2008.
A hundred of Primary 4 to 6 students will take part in seminars, technological and mechanical design workshops and scientific experiments during the period. With the use of micro-computers and art materials, students will design a resort model with a theme of technology and environmental protection.
On 19 July, there will be an exhibition to showcase the resort models designed by the “young scientists” and share their result. Mr Eddy Chan, JP, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, Dr. Rosanna Wong,
Executive Director of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and Mr Nicholas Brooke, Chairman of HKSTP will officiate at ceremony. (Note: Mrs Rita Lau, JP, Secretary of Commerce & Economic Development will not be able to attend)
