The GSM Association (GSMA), the global trade group for the mobile industry, today announced the winners of the APAC leg of the 2009 Mobile Innovation Global Award Competition. The winners were announced at the GSMA’s Mobile Asia Congress, Asia’s leading mobile communications event, that’s taken place in Macau, China this week.

Leaders of China Mobile and China Unicom to speak at Mobile Asia Congress

The 2008 edition of the GSMA’s Mobile Asia Congress will be the first event ever to bring together the leaders of China Mobile and China Unicom – two of the largest telecoms companies in the world’s most populous country. Wang Jianzhou, Chairman and CEO of China Mobile, Chang Xiaobing, Chairman of China Unicom, Lu Xiangdong, Vice President, China Mobile and Guo Ping, EVP Huawei & President of Huawei Terminals Business Group, will be among the keynote speakers at the Mobile Asia Congress in Macau on November 18-20.

New breed of advanced mobile services to take centre stage in Macau

Leading chief executives from the mobile industry will be joined by senior executives from the financial services sector at the GSMA's Mobile Asia Congress in Macau between November 18-20. The CEOs of China Mobile, the world's largest operator, NTT DoCoMo, Japan's largest operator, Bharti Airtel, India's largest operator, KTF and SKT, Korea’s largest operators, and the CEO of pan-Asia operator Telenor are among the keynote speakers confirmed so far.
